Verge is a secure and decentralized P2P electronic payment system which is designed for sending transactions privately. Verge has a public ledger similar to Bitcoin, but unlike Bitcoin you won’t be able to see the public addresses of the transactions that are conducted. This privacy is achieved using the Tor (The Onion Router) and I2P (Invisible Internet Project) technologies to hide the IP addresses of users.

There is also a pretty active community behind Groestlcoin which could be an invaluable factor when it comes to long term adoption of the coin. GRS has had quite a rocky ride since its initial listings on exchanges back in 2014. It reached an all time high in the 2018 bull run of $1.64. However, since the bear market has begun to bite it has followed the rest of the market lower. GRS is currently listed on a number of exchanges although the bulk of the volume is on UpBit and Binance. There is strong volume and liquidity in the token on these exchanges but the tokens remain quite volatile.

In 2013, Jean-Loup Richet, a research fellow at ESSEC ISIS, surveyed new money laundering techniques that cybercriminals were using in a report written for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. A common approach to cyber money laundering was to use a digital currency exchanger service which converted dollars into Liberty Reserve and could be sent and received anonymously. The receiver could convert the Liberty Reserve currency back into cash for a small fee. In May 2013, digital currency exchanger Liberty Reserve was shut down after the alleged founder, Arthur Budovsky Belanchuk, and four others were arrested in Costa Rica, Spain, and New York "under charges for conspiracy to commit money laundering and conspiracy and operation of an unlicensed money transmitting business." Budovsky, a former U.S. citizen and naturalized Costa Rican, was convicted in connection with the 2006 Gold Age raid. A U.S. indictment said the case "is believed to be the largest international money laundering prosecution in history." More than $40 million in assets were placed under restraint pending forfeiture, and more than 30 Liberty Reserve exchanger domain names were seized. The company was estimated to have laundered $6 billion in criminal proceeds.
Consider signing up for another exchange and trading cryptocurrency for cryptocurrency (and then transferring that back into Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, and Litecoin, and then back into Coinbase, and then back into USD). Their price flow is defined for the most part by market demand and thanks to the complicated code involved cryptocurrencies are impossible to counterfeit. They do make for a rewarding albeit uncertain investment endeavour. The long term results are still unknown but cryptocurrencies are only growing in popularity and for the immediate future they are here to stay and will most probably thrive.
When issuing a transaction in IOTA, you validate 2 previous transactions. This means you no longer outsource validation to miners which requires wasteful amounts of computing power and usually a large stake of coins. These required resources are, in effect, centralizing the currencies which many believe were created to be decentralized in the first place.
Like Bitcoin, Dash is meant to be used as a digital currency but has some added values such as much faster transaction times and lower fees. For a slightly higher fee, Dash has the added function of “instant send” which allows transactions to be confirmed almost instantly. This is one of the main selling points of Dash because many believe that this feature would allow it to be used in brick and mortar establishments.

Currently, the Dash ecosystem gets roughly $1 million per month to spend on everything from Developers to expansion projects in Venezuela.
